The walls keep spinning and spinning

A Fly On The Wall

They defined me,
Entitled me,
They carved a crown
out of my own flesh
and gently, precisely
put it on my head.
They said I deserved it
I belonged there,
Among humans
part of the crowd.
Not too bright,
Never too loud!
They said I was,
and I must be
insanely sane.

I'd had to walk
through the corridors...
Be calm!
Be patient!
Be smiley!
Be human!

All the words they injected
And cautiously they expected.

Must have been
a deviation of science,
or a crippled miracle
when their experiment
flashed the wrong symptoms.

It's not a trophy
they are headed to.
Not this time,
not with this soul.
This creature will ignore
the black and white agony.
It will blend colors,
It will write on walls,
It will break those walls.
And maybe build new ones,
But they will be its walls.

This creature
has taken off the crown
and is swimming in the ocean,
the ocean you ordered not to jump.
Soon it will take flight
And the Gods it will spy.
