The Panhandler

He pays for your pitiful coins
by wearing his most woebegone face
in which you can read reflections
of your own invincible good health,
your several children, each of whom
graduated with honours, the Lexus,
Mercedes or Mini you drive, your
centrally heated house with its
ceiling and four walls, your membership
in the Republicrat Party and your wide,
admiring circle of the choicest of friends.
