Horizon

I did not know what i had seen..When my eyes opened.
The sights were unseen but pleasing..
In the laps of somebody, whom i later called Mom..
i had cried then..for reasons unknown..

I did not know what i saw that i tried to walk,
Leaving the eager hands of somebody, whom i later called Dad..
I had cried then..when i first fell..
But after the first three steps..there was no turning back..

I did not know what i saw that my eyes broadened..
in the stories of Columbus and Galleleo, that Dad said..
When i saw my vision growing, the colours playing..
And suddenly i knew, what they had chased, what i was chasing..

I knew It was the sense of being free..
The rustling of the trees with its exotic breeze,
The twinkling of the stars-their golden light beam;
They soothed my soul, never fearful of growing old.
My soul was soaring with unbelievable speed.
With the chanting of planets, the seed of life was planted, .
i knew the chase has been started..

Inbetween..love happened..with fruity flavors of rainbow colors..
All painted by you..in you..we both found solace..
Time stopped, time rushed, Einstein's relativity marked its presence..
But still there was this constant chase..

Love ended, dreams shattered, two people became strangers..
the songs lost the music, for some time even you missed the colours..
for some time...and then i walked through the crowd absent-minded
head up looking down on those who looked down on me
mocking their perfidious smiles..again i chased..

You showed me the secret of the day, in your nights
and i did the rest..kept living till the lights..
clasping your gifts in the hands..your view in the eyes..
i started walking again, making songs with the sighs.

Again..the chase was on
Towards the aurora of hopes..Towards the HORIZON..
