Rusty Oak Tree

We were so young we were so free we had mud up to our knees the oak tree is where we laid the rusty old tree the dust fell down but we laid there
If I could go back if I could say spring I would know that that rusty oak tree was my spring a fountain of water running in souls deep what a blessing it has been to me
Under the oak tree is where I found life is where I found peace and it laid me to sleep
under the old rusty oak tree when dust fell down on my head when the storms of life beat passed me and ceased under the oak tree is where i peace and it laid me down to sleep.
