James Sandrik Biography

Biography, this word is supposed to define where I'm to write of myself. So, I guess, here's the summary. I'm a writer and a musician. I've written thousands of poems, written two books, created 20+ songs, written a screen play, a few short stories, a few longer stories, and briefly attended college. You can find me on www.poetfreak.com/jsand You can find me on facebook: James Sandrik I'm brand new to this site: poemhunter. but I plan on contributing to it.. at least briefly. I guess I'll summarize... Do what you want only if it's what you really need just be selfish and caring without greed Just be yourself, be nobody else, be who you are and let the others tell. -JSand '10)

Dying If We Don'T: Listen Up Oval Office.

I contribute here
I contribute there
I write a little something in the air
you'll probably ignore this
as this is only fine print
and you'll probably over look it
because you're becoming particularly self-present
you might disregard this
because this is the work of another
you might ignore this
then again you might treat me like your brother.

I try to spit the truth I know
I try to tell everything that I see
and inside of the perspectives
of nations collapsing
and inside of the times that we are living through
there are firecracker like flashes
ripping through our minds
and there is certain truth hidden behind every writer's words
although the text and understanding therein might be diminished

and there is truth spat on the corners of new york streets
the same as in the countryside across the nation

you breath the same as us writers do
and yet you control the paintbrush of troops that are sent out

I'm sure you
dear president
wrote reports, passed spelling tests back in school

so spell out what it is that you say
tell us what you plan to do
lift the veil.

Let the nation learn.

We're dying to learn
and we're dying if we don't.
