The Storm Of Love

Venus thou didst send a storm my way,
A storm of sorrow not wind nor rain,
Which vexed me with such bitter pain
In the form of love that couldn't stay.
A love now lost and passed away,
A loss that I can not explain,
Haunts me with such bitter pain
A pain so great I can't convey.
Is it better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all,
To enjoy pure love and adoration
And endure the storm above all cost?
Yes, for love doth conquer and cannot fall
Amidst all life's tribulations.
