Afraid of light

I am weighted down by my kind

I wake up with tears dripping down my face
Looking in the light hurts as I disgrace it
Words have cracked me until it’s hard to erase
I try to keep my spirit up but it doesn’t come with ease

I close my eyes
I pray to the lord
I pray to hold
The arms of an angel

I look for love
I Look for life
I look for purity
