Angeline's Elegy

And when the storm clouds do pass
The hail lays dormant upon the grass
The lightning blinks the sky no more
And the thunder begins once more to snore
We'll look upon the heavens, dreary
Yearning for a glimpse of light, cheery
And the heavens, overcome with joy,
Will have no choice but to employ
Their most miraculous possession
In the aftermath of turmoil
From the depths of Night, a shining beacon
A Rainbow - so bright one must recoil
A bridge from and to
Memories of the past, the now, and the new
And in the rainbow
You'll see her smile:
The epitome of pristine
Your cute, little, Angeline.
