Gordon Smith Poems

A poem I need to write,
Though I have none in sight.
I think and I ponder,
Even way up yonder.

Well, time will surly tell, when this rough sea swell

which rises up to heaven, and sinks down to hell,

Sunshine, rainbows are what we seek,
Mud puddles, grey skies, are what we find.
Sometimes life is so bleak

As I gaze into the night sky,
I see your face, your sweet smile.
When the wind gently blows around me.
I feel your loving arms holding me.

Accidental Poem

A poem I need to write,
Though I have none in sight.
I think and I ponder,
Even way up yonder.
But sigh, nothing will come to my hand,
I just do not understand.
Usually I can think and create,
But maybe it is just getting to late.
Maybe later some words will appear,
And put away my fear.
You never really know,
When the words will flow.
