Friends

I look back from where i started
Way back as a child
Friends i shared my life with
From dancing in the rain to moonlight football
Late night hang out
Music we sang and danced to
I remember them like it was yesterday
I had nothing but was happy
knowing they were always within reach
Then i was asked to grow up
Be a man, take responsibilities
and i did
i dropped my friend and thrived in all i did
But with emptiness inside
Today i heard those songs and my heart melted
An wished i have my friends close.
