Foster Teegarden Poems

Listening to the Neighbourhood.
Oh, and how it sounds damn good.
Only problem: They make me think of you
when I'm not supposed to.
...

I don't understand your thinking,
yet I still love you, and you should me too.

The day you told me that it's not,
...

Today you sent me a message.
You were pleading for forgiveness.
You didn't have to worry though.
I did. Well, how should I put this?
...

Late night, no stars in the sky.
No light shone in his bedroom.
Though there's a glimmer in his eye,
but it's more in dread and doom.
...

Is it possible to fall so hard
for someone that I can just discard.
I barely even know you outright,
but I can't stand without you in sight.
...

I'm just rolling in my grave,
where I lay and simply prey
upon my victims.
...

7.

I don't think you know this,
but I don't have these feelings often enough.
The fact that still stands is
I'm not going down without a patch of rough.
...

Darling, can you see us, Eve of Christmas by kindling,
kissing with the moonlight peering in brightly shining.
Now I could imagine both our engines lighting up the night.
What would you say to moving closer? Come on over, and I'll show you my way.
...

You're perfect in my head.
Rather you in my bed.
I feel the emotions
simply sharp and poking.
...

A list of names sits before me
with matching photos to my side.
I press on in futility
just to regain some kind of pride.
...

11.

I'm said to be normal.
It's sad cause they warble
about today's material,
which is ever mercurial.
...

12.

I'm at a crossroad
with an oncoming freight train
blocking the right road,
freezing the blood in my veins.
...

13.

Captivating, that's what I'd say
of this woman amongst these girls.
Comparison, none in that day.
For this woman, the guys did curls.

Everyone sings of their own glory days.
The golden chains, fancy airplanes, hotties with manes.
They say at allow them to paraphrase.
Roll in the reins, call in the dames, chill all our veins.
...

15.

Boredom is a fickle thing.
All depends on what you bring
to the table on that day.
Maybe one time what you love
...

16.

Sweeping through the streets of New York
on a spree.
Veering up to greet you, of course.
Can it be?
...

I lay here on this hard floor
crying myself to sleep.
There's no point wasting my time.
Brush, spit, rinse, repeat.
...

You have sent me to this point.
Exit my resolve.
I am done, given up hope
to make you my love.
...

It's becoming clear. You're ignoring me.
But I won't have it.
My voice will be hear, even if it's blurred.
As long as it is
...

Best friends for years on end.
I would not, without you,
be able to cable
my thoughts for those so hot.

Headache

Listening to the Neighbourhood.
Oh, and how it sounds damn good.
Only problem: They make me think of you
when I'm not supposed to.
It's far too late to do such things.
It's amazing what love will bring
to heads like mine. Gives such a throbbing pain.
I cannot seem to drain
any thought that runs through my brain,
like sex with you out in the rain.
I'm so sorry. I can't stop my own thoughts.
All of these crazy plots
to end up in bed with my dear.
Sadly I can't feel any fear
of what could be the last thing that I do.
You too will say 'toodaloo'
to me, 'thank heavens' in your head.
You'll think you'll never have to dread
walking around town. I am in the prison
for trying to dip in.

Wow, this is a real life nightmare.
Pen nearly down, stopping to stare
at bedroom walls. I've got such a headache
and it is far too late.
