please, can I know you
as well as a magician knows his magic
and a tree floats on its roots
arms, reached
swaying in the sky
bleeding blue
please, can I know you
as well as time knows the earth
as well as music knows the voices
of all pain, love, rejoice
as well as hands know the skin
of every lover it ever felt
in every moonlit night
as well as body knows heart
