If waking is a mini birth
And sleeping, a minor death

Precious and priceless
But gradually weakens and withers
...

For centuries I waited to be born
May be at the ripe time my seed was sown
But in a hostile soil, I smelt treason
It baffled my ken of simple reason
...

Over the west the Sun dies, oozing blood,
The hillside glows in a ruddy blaze,
Pink and crimson fade slowly around,
And a pallid shade taints the twilight haze.
