David Kinyanjui Poems

The first time I saw her,
even though it was from afar,
she made me go gaga!
...

I saw them in town,
they were two sitting down.
The big lady was beating drums,
Hum! de-dum! Hum!
...

3.

It happened so fast,
that I found myself in the past.
In a shake of a lambs tail,
I could only tell the tale.
...

Lady of mine,
A precious jewel from the depth of a mine.
You are curved of a valuable stone,
that is tender to touch, soft in tone.
...

You have blessed me abundantly,
Taught me that not all things are done abruptly.
As sure as the rising sun in the east,
You set a table for me in your feast.
...

6.

I have been dealt with cards,
Some have had me scarred.
It is not as if no one cared,
For that reason, I am not scared.
...

He is slow,
This on him, is as white as a snow.
And so,
He might get a little late to reap what he sow.
...

It was fools day.
And since it is only fools who rush in,
I held my horses, kept them at bay.
I did not consider that if I were to start I should begin.
...

A story is told,
Of those that are bold.
The ones that are as strong as a stallion,
Who go out of their way to clinch the medallion.
...

10.

Life can be a gold ring on the snout of a pig,
Very precious, but good for nothing to a creature so big.
Ask a chameleon resting on a feeble twig,
To it, the rest is not a gig.
...

All my dreams might not come true,
But I believe I will see some through.
Despite a cloud that hangs on me like glue,
I hope to see the sky blue.
...

12.

She is infinity.
A lady of great dignity.
She grows in opportunity.
She holds the values of humanity.
...

When you are at sea,
You are not everyone's cup of tea.
Not everybody is rocking your boat,
Some might be in it to poke holes and gloat.
...

When I was younger,
Before I knew a world of anger,
I thought love was a different package,
A gift well wrapped to withstand breakage.
...

No one will hold up better for you child.
We will take your hand and raise you from the wild.
When that happens, appreciate it,
Your candle will always be lit.
...

I remember the touch of her skin.
Would you be my queen?
I feel like asking,
And I, be your king.
...

One day I will look at the spots.
I wont mean to see the nots,
my aim will be on the dots.
The ones that were my knots.
...

Before you reach the end,
How far will you bend?
Will you crumble and break,
Or crack and make it as a wreck?
...

When someone asks me what I love the most,
I always think of a world in which I am lost.
I don't mean where I wander,
But a place full of Wonder.
...

I remember my literature teacher,
When she made contrast of a window and a shutter.
I had always thought their difference is the same,
That it was just in the name.

The Best Poem Of David Kinyanjui

The First Time I Saw Her.

The first time I saw her,
even though it was from afar,
she made me go gaga!

Not that I am every Tom, Dick and Harry,
that I would hurry,
to jump everywhere like a pong ball,
calling everyone darling.

But the first time I saw her,
she captured my heart.
There is nothing I could abhor.

A lady so fine,
she ought not to freeze and shine.
Natural In setting,
she left me solo chanting.
