Dave Buss Poems

A place of sorrow deep within, my heart aches from life of pretend.
Oh the pain is too much to bare, my only wish… is to share,
Others cannot begin to see, how much pain there is for me
Too busy I guess…to want to care, who art they to pull a stare
...

Who would dare become so bare
As to open up one’s heart and share their despair
In this world you see, no one’s soul is free, to escape the standards set by thee.
The days go by, and the pain persists, and it becomes harder to resist

Life Of Pretend

A place of sorrow deep within, my heart aches from life of pretend.
Oh the pain is too much to bare, my only wish… is to share,
Others cannot begin to see, how much pain there is for me
Too busy I guess…to want to care, who art they to pull a stare
Be free my soul to enjoy the day, oh how I wish this pain away
How can one pretend to be; friendship is what I seek from thee
Pain is tearing my soul away, leaving darkness in its path, please lord... help it pass
May I please have a friend, who could take away the life of pretend?
