The Picture

.
The picture is almost complete,
Just a few more strokes of the brush,
Each scene is alive and replete
With colors so vivid and lush. The Artist now stands back to gaze
On effects of shadows and light,
The Master will swiftly appraise
The mural's perfection and might. So graphic, so fine in detail,
It captures in full range and scope
The whole of creations travail,
Man's failures, man's undying hope. The picture, a true masterpiece,
Is ready for all now to view,
No extra touch can increase,
No humans hands can add to. This glorious picture will hang
By the nails from Arms spread across
The abyss, for God's colors sprang
From The Blood on Calvary's Cross.
