It's been a few years now,
A few godforsaken years
and your little girl isn't what she was.
I'm all grown up now,
and I wonder if you could see me,
would it be for what I am?
I've wasted these few years,
dwelling on our past.
Sucking all our problems
from a dirty piece of cotton
and recycling them back into a filthy vein
in some sick attempt
to ease the stinging pain.
My age of innocence is over now
and that sweet little face is long gone.
You've made a mess of me
and I don't know if you would even care
but I just want you to see
I need you to see me for what I am
