My Candle...

In the darkness I stand
with my little light
A candle of hope
Burning so bright
As I stand here
Facing a storm of emotions
I wonder when the end will be near
Day after day passes
I hold this candle strong against lifes wind
Not wanting my candle of hope to be blown out
Knowing that one of these days I shall find peace
When the road has ended
When the nights grow long
I will sigh a sigh of relief
Yet knowing my candle glows strong
It keeps me going
