Cath Harrington Poems

Crystal waters from the blue,
locked deep inside and remain so true,
Twisted hearts feel the passion inside,
too and fro lapping on a beach,
...

Its written in the stars you and I,
feeling like heaven, falling from the sky,
a kiss from a rainbow, turns the wheel,
a dream cast from heaven I now feel,
...

On a cold winters night, the snow did fall,
Creeping through the hallways feelng so tall,
A picture hung neat on a wall so red,
feelings in motion, no fear or dread,
...

From a sunlit sky he came,
with eyes tinted fire that no one could tame,
a shadow cast over the earth,
a new dawn had come a second birth,
...

The rain pours down on such a stormy night,
hollow is the soul of such an eerie sight,
heart as cold as ice as black as coals,
wandering lonely through the darkest of holes.
...

Oh come forth, what ye say of loves fair hand,
singing across the waters, dripping like golden sand,
counted in time, to a sweet melody,
each note that passes, in the shade of a tree,
...

For it is said love is like the blossom of spring,
it carries a voice like a harbenger on a wing,
dual cusps on a mountain so tall,
arise from the depths and show them all.
...

A noose hung like gallows on a crooked tree,
Encrusted with smite a crow did see,
A black cloak walked a tempetuous mile,
Waivering and lonely he felt beguiled,
...

Feeling so emotional for a life I'm leaving behind,
I change my world, painting my colours a new shade of light,
Feelings of loss as I take down the old paper,
A memory well worn, which now lays ironicaly torn,
...

Am I always to be a part of loves incandessant hand,
It twists and turns into the very fibres of this creature eternally damned,
Seperated by space but never by heart,
For loves wounded soldiers, cupid took a dart,
...

11.

Dreaming in blue is no fun,
Take a prism and what do you see,
A portrait of colour beyond measure,
A phoenix in the sky flies so high,
...

Waltz to the beat of your heart,
as it leads to the echo of mine,
no longer will you feel lonely, together we will dine,
on a feast of love and tears until we get this right,
...

Opening the vein a beat trickles from my heart,
Serenity has its weakness in the form of love,
A fantasy that captures the heart,
Ignites the spark from within,
...

True love is the eternal love, when two hearts are close,
When you look at someone and just know,
you will love that person for the rest of your life,
Its that feeling you get when you look into anothers soul,
...

True love whispers through the air of a late summer breeze,
A reminder to where we have been, what we know to be true,
Distance separates but never the heart,
What I felt was real and warm inside,
...

The way your eyes glistened in the sun,
The way you smiled, your soul burned through mine,
The way time stood still everytime,
The way my heart calls out to you even now,
...

Love is the most poweful emotion, we carry as humans,
and without it we are all nothing.

Cath Harrington Biography

I was brought up around a very musical and litterate family, I have famous bloodlines one being a 40's hollywood actor (although I am english) so you could say I was born with glitter in my veins. My family on both my mum and dads side, had become friends with many stars over the decades, and even went to school with some now famous stars... I was singing at the age of three, (my mum recalls I would often reduce family members to tears singing Elvis's 'love me tender') and it esculated from there... As a child I loved to read poetry and listen to music... My mum would read me poems from Edgar Allen Poe, her favourite being 'The Raven' so my imagination started from there.... At the age of 8 I was auditioned for a choir and we toured all over the country, eventually I became head chorister... Left when I was 16, due to other commitments.. Most of my childhood was spent writing lyrics, listening to music, being on the school stage or reading, sadly being the ever the self critic, most of that work I produced went in the bin... I was sent to audition for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers theatre group at the age of 15, but again had to turn it down due to other commitments... At the age of 17 I was asked to join a girl band who was offered a record contract, but had to turn that down due to the fact of having parents who wanted me to do well in education rather than the arts... But it is here in the arts where my heart lay and after much internal debate decided to write poetry/lyrics again about 18mnths ago... And thats where I am today, most of the poetry on here is what I wrote 18mnths ago...Recently added poetry was written 12 months ago I am currently forming a band and releasing an album in 2011 (hopefully))

Crystal Waters

Crystal waters from the blue,
locked deep inside and remain so true,
Twisted hearts feel the passion inside,
too and fro lapping on a beach,
I tried to hide, but I only want to reach,
Waves crashing to the sound,
for this love I have found.
