Stand

Everyday its always the same
People never change
Its high school but its like being in fifth grade
No one knows how to treat each other so we play life like a game

Even when you don’t know what someone is going through
You spat their name spread it around like its nothing
Just put them in the ground and leave them there
It would be less painful
Because words hurt worse than a knife
Is this really life

She is new school but people don’t care
They just talk bad about her and give her mean stares
No, no one knows what she goes through
Its true she gets beaten every night
And fights for her life

He sits by himself everyday
Trying to think on different ways
to kill himself, he fights to survive
Those boys bullying him so he takes to a knife
Nobody knows what he goes through
nobody even cares
they look right past him as if he isn't there!

Teens are so cruel and mean sometimes
We don’t even care if we make someone cry
Suicide is what people do when life gets like this
We push them around and bring them down
To where they just don’t know anymore
So they decide to be torn apart
Left without a heart
They never say a word
Because they feel weak and alone
How could they not feel that way
After the things we say
The games we play
And the hate we create

We are cruel and selfish
We could save a life
But instead we ignore the signs
And walk away from the light.
All it takes is one person
to make it right
to stand up
and fight.
