With the one whose been through it all with me
Wrapped in the same coat our Mom bought us

Awake to headlight beams roaming across wary faces
Sit up from the cold dirt and scarf down some chow
Stomach doesn't feel right, barely hold it down
Off to the wood line for a quick relief

Time keeps ticking as her cancer grows
Breathe in all the pressure; my mind it slows
Far beyond ego and pride
Achieve all my goals or Renee will die
Swear I'd give up my life for hers
Drive so deep I put it in these words
Either make it to the top or go out in a hearse
And when it's all said and done I'll read her this verse
