Meeting Up

If
we were to meet? Would there be craic overflowing
With happysilly laughing banter so we stayed up til dawn,
Feel the shy sun ratchet rise build and burst between us,
Wrapping us together in radiant golden oneness?

Or.
If we met, would we smile politely, speak, and pause.
Words starting, only to break feebly and fall like
Half-hearted sunflowers too sad to touch with
Hidden yawns and stifled glance at laggard clocks.

If
we ever met, would it be eyes to eyes, first to last?
Or content, hand in hand, to sit side by side, silent,
Thoughts entwined in our own practiced Net,
Passionate innocence with no need for speech.

But.
If we did meet, would u be disappointed at words
And phrases unexpected, annoyingly unpredicted,
Unable to finish my sentences, confused and
Saddened with gloomy expectations half-confirmed?

Or.
When we meet, will you smile and weep like this?
Yes. Touch as we touch now, two minds as one.
Any confusion made glorious by your sweet sense,
Sharing a single separateness that cannot fade nor stop.
