Aurora Bell

Aurora Bell Poems

You're the iron man, Wolverine without a dent
Remember in the winter when you'd go down to the pub
Those nights we're cold as stone
Hard as bone
...

Crushing silent envy holds you
On the other side
Worlds away I listen for your voice
Hear nothing but old words echoing through my mind
...

Alone
And watched by eyes of steel;
To meet with my own as lips, thoughts, screams, lies rise
and fall away into quiescence
...

*A poem for my Helen; that you won't forget how much I need you*

Guardian angel
Take care of my heart
...

I miss you like the summer
When I'm standing in the rain,
I miss your arms around me
In ways that I can't explain,
...

We will be unstoppable, unbreakable.
Hand in hand we'll rise above the rest
As a new day dawns
New life breathes
...

Impenetrable - A Tale Of Love's Woes

You're the iron man, Wolverine without a dent
Remember in the winter when you'd go down to the pub
Those nights we're cold as stone
Hard as bone
Though mine were soft, or so you said.
As your hollow heart broke them in our darkest dreams
When you'd change it was hard to hold on
The flowers, chocolates.
That time you told me you'd never hurt me I wanted to punch you
Scream, run, spit in your face.
The pain was one thing
Your delusion was worse
I'd pray on the worst nights, head bowed
Out loud -
Begging that one day I could break through,
And touch you.
