My mum is my world she holds us altogether
Last Year my world fell apart and drifted away like a feather
I knew my mum was really ill
I tried to keep strong and not let my emotions spill
...

Fat ones, thin ones
Chopped off limb ones
We sell any cats
Any, any, any, any, any cat
...

A Kingfisher's feather so bright and blue
But yet it brings out the colour in you
He darts in and out of the river waves
His eyes as black as the deep dark caves
...

These are the gifts if I could I would give to you
A tear from a phoenix
The first fire
The last diamond

My World

My mum is my world she holds us altogether
Last Year my world fell apart and drifted away like a feather
I knew my mum was really ill
I tried to keep strong and not let my emotions spill

Mum told me of the cancer within
We didn’t know if she would win
I felt isolated and alone
Not sure if she would make it home

I was walking on an escalator the wrong way
School work was slipping, friends drifting away
Then the chemotherapy started she was pumped full of drugs
I had to be careful not to give her any bugs

She looked like Lord Voldermort with no hair
Her outside beauty gone with despair
Then we surrounded her with love
Then an angel swooped down like a dove

It was her bravery that carried her through
She was no longer feeling so blue

Meriel introduced us to a golden Labrador
Who initially piddled on our kitchen floor
We named him Monty, our fabulous hound
Who helped mummy regain her strength we found

Last Saturday at roller skating she was the disco queen
Some of her moves you should have seen!

My mum is my world we all hold it together!
Now and the future, which we face together
