Antoinette Winter Poems

Rain spills down my face.
Rain from my heart, rain from my eyes.
This pain is almost ripped from my soul… until I let it go.
As it flows the sky kisses me, sweet rain.

She stared in her mother’s eyes and asked “will it hurt when you die? ”
“Or will it only be me who cries? ”
Her mother responded in a silky tone “No, my love it will not hurt”
Inside she pleaded her eyes not to show, tears that never freely flowed.

Your love was poisoned, still I took more.
Pain fills my glass once again.
Till I’m twisted on the floor, still drinking your poison even after you’re just a shadow on my door.
Sweetened with love, soured with lies.
...

I see myself reflected, in shattered mirror glass.
Eyes like sky staring back.
I’ll walk off the edge holding hands with darkness.
Yes we’ll walk hand in hand right off the edge.
...

I know you, I know who you are.
Your the happiness in their life.
The smile on their lips.
But when they see you like this...

I wrote this in 2nd grade sorry if you don't like it! but i do! (I made a few adjustments because some stuff didn't make sense)

Flowers sleep in the dimming light.
The sun is setting for the night.

Kisses & Rain

Rain spills down my face.
Rain from my heart, rain from my eyes.
This pain is almost ripped from my soul… until I let it go.
As it flows the sky kisses me, sweet rain.
Like my eye’s gushing river; it touches my face.
Thousands of kisses stinging me, numbing body and mind with quick succession.
The kisses seem to last forever but are never long enough for This greedy heart devours each drop, every kiss.
Burning, melting it away. My heart is lost in a current of kisses: a bloody stain in the mud.
All that is left is a voice crying to the clouds, pleading, screaming for one last kiss.
