The Best Poem Of Annie Ray

A Lovelorn's Tale

As the sun shines
A new day lights a hope in her mind.

He who hath not been struck by cupid
Should wake up & see through her eyes the castles which the girl has built.

These feelings, these emotions in his heart are not yet born..

And this crushes her hopes, leaving her as a melancholic lovelorn.

Neither roses, nor wine can bring peace to her heart and mind.

But he and his only sight can turn everything beautiful and bright.

How hard she tries to calm these waves of thoughts

She ends up losing this battle without swords.

While he has not the slightest idea what it means to be alone

She is left in a state to lament and mourn.

As he walked across the room, she could feel the aura of his presence

And every head turned feeling passion by his first glance.

When the unheard lover of his recalls that face, those eyes in a series of flashbacks..

She dreams of two of them together along a riverside with swans.

That enchanting smile etched permanently in her mind

No matter where ever he is, for in her heart he always reside.
