Me

I don't know who's in the mirror now
It's really sad to see
Whenever I take a closer look
She turns away from me.

She doesn't want me to know
She's betrayed herself again
Become a person she doesn't like
To try to keep a man.

The tear-streaked face and puffy eyes
Betray her broken heart
Sad, hollow stare and trembling chin
Tears my soul apart.

I miss her smile
her shining eyes
her freckles and rosy skin,
Oh, I can't wait to see you, Annie
You'll find yourself again.
