Anisha Das Poems

A starry, moonlit night,
A silvery glistening light,
A cool, fragrant breeze,
A silent whisper from the trees.
...

A small fine cut, and a dropp of tear,
Your faint, weak wail, brings her so near.
When the veil of darkness, falls on your eyes,
And you can hear your heart's deepest fears and cries,
...

On my last breath of life,
I want my eyes to be given,
To the one who came with none,
And want him to see the beauty,
...

Deep, deep within the earth I lie,
To let the winds let out a mournful cry.
The moon lets down a silver sheet,
To creep upon the grave's entangling weeds.
...

The sun wakes you up with a touch of warmth,
with shimmering golden beams so bright.
The morning birds call upon you,
to get ready for another big fight.

A Night So Bright

A starry, moonlit night,
A silvery glistening light,
A cool, fragrant breeze,
A silent whisper from the trees.

A distant call from the waves,
A hollow wail from the caves,
The night bird flies around in silence,
And a heart beats amidst the stillness.

The silence rings out loud in my ears,
The heart thinks of my qualms and fears,
The heart lets out a soft, painful moan,
A numb, gloomy sense of being all alone.

A sudden warmth spreads to the fingers,
A featherly lightness flows across the chest,
Even darkest moonless nights seem so bright,
The eye falls open to marvels, beauty and light.

A soft voice speaks in my mind,
Leave the unwanted past behind,
Because after every dark night,
Comes a morning sunny and bright.
