Warm coffeeshop in the bookshop basement.
Early winter cosiness
before the advent of inflatable reindeer.

Amid fear of the future-
your illness, how we're all going to cope,
we find an unexpected oasis.

Over massive cups of foaming coffee
we take comfort from each other,
savour the present,
look forward to a peaceful Christmas.
