Amos O. Ojwang' is one of the Kenya's most prolific poets. Amos began writing at 13. He was inspired by Prof Wole Soyinka who has all along been his role model. He was born near Kisumu, from Luo Community (known as a tribe of erudites) , in Kenya. Amos attended Ober Boys Boarding for primary education before proceeding to Thurdibuoro High School. Should I ask you
Or should I not
For yet do I love Emma
As much as I love Vivian too

‘Tis a time to let the spirits sing
Than to let my Vivian dance alone
On the platform of muted instruments
You both share an equal percentage
Of this my lonely heart
Yet to burst into bloody tears

I love you Vivian
But when will Emma complain my love in her?
My heart is big enough to own yours
When I see you saunter,
I see a potential bride at will
What a question to ask
Than to be retorted
