About me... Amos is my favorite book of the Bible and Beck is short for Becky my nick name, Amos Beck my pen name. I started writing poetry as a type of therapy.... It works. Let the emotions roll and life's stresses slowly ease away. I have several Associate Degrees in Business Management and Human Resources. Right now I'm a disabled wanna be poet... Chasing The Wind

Chasing the Wind

The leaf fell soft upon the ground.
Not many dead ones to be found…
The stormy breeze tumbled it still again,
And young Chauncey chased it in the wind.

With a skip and a jump and a hide de ho,
There’s a northerner coming and the rain will blow.
Thunder roars and the lighting flashes
When the rain drops fall the little lad dashes…

Such marvelous smells are in the air ~
Fresh and clear scents are everywhere.
The land’s swept clean of all debris,
And Chauncey plays tag with all he see’s.

Thunder and lighting through the skies adrift,
As I whisper to Chauncey the rain is Gods gift.
