Alyce Crow Poems

Dreaming of the sea, harsh and unforgiving,
Dreaming of the sky, light and true,
Dreaming of the sea, caring and free,
Dreaming of the sky, white and blue.
...

Little girl, little girl down near the river
Why did you run away?
You looked so happy, full, content,
So why didn't you want to play?
...

Where does it all go?
The tears, the fears, the beers?
The lies, the ties, the tries?
Where does it all go?
...

People ask me why I do what I do
I guess that my answers are all to true
because later that day, they get all blue
and sad and mad, and I do, too.

Imagine a world without hate.
One that can clean my slate.
Wish for a place to hide a day.
Want for a fire, a toy to play.
...

How can people find the strength,
To smile everyday?
How can people hear the words,
But never have a say?

Dream Of The Sea

Dreaming of the sea, harsh and unforgiving,
Dreaming of the sky, light and true,
Dreaming of the sea, caring and free,
Dreaming of the sky, white and blue.

Some call it Ingo, Ocean; sea
Some call it heaven, home; sky
Some call it tricky, evil; angry
Some call it the better of two. Why?

My loving friend deserves better.
If its angry, let it be.
If i had to pick one or the other,
I would always dream of the sea.
