Alexander Thompson Poems

Everything dies,
mute porcelan form,
cooling soul make way for precious tears,
a babe thats snatched from the cradle,
...

Hear the hushed and muffeld tones,
of silence creeping through the stones,
of bare feet clapping through a muddeld street,
the night creeps on and never peaks,
...

Purple thoughts aroused by currant rain,
the fleeting thoughts that twist and clog the vein,
image of an empty space that fills the sky,
and icarus gave us wings to make men fly,
...

if i could have but one more drink, i think id drink to everythink,
and everythink being what it were, to being here and being her,
would drink and sit and talk and think,
to drink id have to sit and think,
...

one heart breaks to break another,
weep your metal bends and flakes,
time is lost and nought is healing,
chip the jagged wind with frost,
...

i fear that one day ill find the words in my heart
that truely express how i feel about you and i will be undone,
such words have never been spoken nor heard,
like a whisper,
...

My Everything Dies

Everything dies,
mute porcelan form,
cooling soul make way for precious tears,
a babe thats snatched from the cradle,
the softest of us all,
childs body adorns my hands,
lump of caring,
petals for eyelids smile on his face,
teeth enguaged grin and bear it,
lay him softly drest,
prince of my dreams enjoy your solem rest,
your friend is sorely left,
and waits here at your request.
