...
Mother, Where Is Thy Virtues
The morning sun thou defiled,
and dying sun thou have setting,
thy offspring, uncertainty thou have provided
Melancholy drums, thou favored dancing,
fire, thou have become, sucking out life
out of thy children
Those to quench thy consuming flame,
life, thou have sucked out within,
helplessly they have turned
Travelled, is peace and love out of you,
embraced is warring by you,
and happily welcomed, poverty is too
Thy children, thou exposed
not to love nor peace,
but to longtime curse
Pray thou to wake up dear mother
from thy unfulfilled dreams
and once, set life for thy anguished children
For thou, thou alone I say,
was, is and will be their life stream.
