I touch your arm. Cold.
Skin ice cold like your soul.
Take that. A cut. Blood poured
making the pavement evil.

Criticisms we listen to
Complements we ignore
We feel ashamed of who we are
And makes us feel insecure

As the rain pours I lay there
With tears rolling down my cheeks
I just wait till everyone falls asleep
So I can cry in peace

I Touch Your Arm

I touch your arm. Cold.
Skin ice cold like your soul.
Take that. A cut. Blood poured
making the pavement evil.

Goosebumps. I ran my fingers through your hair.
As you lay there
You squirm and squeal.
No one will hear your screams.

Give up. Give up I shouted.
Your piercing blue eyes lost their shine.
Lifeless. You're a rag doll.
No movement. No breath.

I took your soul like you took my heart.
I gave you all I had. You gave me nothing.
But now I'm the one in control.
I had a choice. Life or death

The urge for this kept me going.
The adrenaline kicked in.
People. Too many people watching.
I don't perform well with an audience.

I lifted the knife high up in the air.
Hoping that will drive them away.
Flashing red and blue lights blurred my vision.
High pitched noises deafened me.

Shouting. Screaming. Shooting.
Run. Something telling me to run.
My legs took off but my head was spinning.
Running. I felt so alive.

I enjoyed this. Gave me a rush.
Let's do this again sometime.
Why wait? The knife was calling me.
I saw another bystander.

Their skin was pierced.
They collapsed in a heap.
The feeling was fading. Cannot let this die.
I shall paint the streets red making them suffer.

I came back to you. You layed there
Still on the floor. You were cold.
I tasted your blood and closed your eyes.
Goodbye. Goodbye my love.
