Wonderland Poem by Karin Dovring

Wonderland

On my window, ice paints flowers
Tells me of an artist's powers
Who created the design
Of the world I now call mine I of course am quite impressed
His heart and skill are manifest
But its meaning He has hidden
Behind an art, to me forbidden. Exhibition of His art
On a global, worldly mart
Was a mystery for all
After Eve's and Adam's fall. On my window, ice-cold flowers
Tell of His creative powers
Silent is the frozen sight
Will not reveal His plan, His might. I know that I am frozen here
In an earthbound atmosphere
Cannot tell you what I felt
When icy flowers never melt.
