The Difference Poem by Scarlett Treat

The Difference

Rating: 2.6

You give me more with
your arm around my shoulder
than he gave me
with a lifetime of kisses.

You make me glow with
a warmth that consumes me,
while his 'LOVE' left me cold
and filled with ice.

Thoughts of me fill your eyes
and spill over to your heart.
Looking into his eyes was like looking
in broken windows of a vacant house.

I love the contrasts you create in this poem. So much energy contained in so few lines. -chuck

Oh this is sharp and forceful, Lind. The arm thing you mention in verse 1, I'm with you on it. A power-poem, Linda, well and truly. Sunshine, Gina.
