He hides behind his silly grin
So that no one will ever know
The foolish man the lies within
The fool who let her go
In silence he will suffer
You’ll never see him cry
He’ll use work as a buffer
To conceal the hurt that’s deep inside
Destined to be all alone
Never giving up his pride
Losing all he’d hope to own
A sad and lonely ride
