a voice inside me
screams out to my sorrow
all is lost!
all is lost!

but there's one too many
lines I've crossed
so all is lost.

someone who loves me
questions my pain
why have you cried?
so much you have cried!

but there's one too many
times I've lied
so I have cried.

worst of all
I challenge my failure
the war was won!
the war was won!

but there's one too many
bad things I've done
so the war was won.

but not by me,
for I've lost so carelessly!
says a voice inside of me.
