No Rest For The Wicked Poem by George Anderson

No Rest For The Wicked

I never thought that missing you could ever be this tough,
And when you said you're walking out I'd always call your bluff,
Sometimes it takes losing things to know how much they mean,
But truth is you're gone for good never to be seen,
I contact you they lock me up and throw away the key,
Even though I only wish for you to be with me,
I wake at night and reach for you but you are never there,
I try to sleep but I cannot so at the walls I stare,
I miss you babe and I don't blame if you don't feel the same,
But I loved us and in my life I still am glad you came...
