Even when your'e freezing from all the cold shoulders and judging stares.
Even when your smiles fake and your heart quakes, when your resolve breaks and you've taken all you can take.
Even when pain is all you feel and it takes so long to heal.

If I cry you a river, will you sail it to me?
If I sing you a song, will you hear me?
If I showed you a picture, from a memory long ago.
Would you remember days filled with sunshine and Christmas's filled with snow?

Never again, I told myself it was the end.
I would never trust another 'friend'.
I could never love another soul if ever again I should feel whole.
And for this reason every night I would cry, pray for love and look out at an empty sky.
