Longer Poem by Frankie Stones

Longer

Seconds turned into Minutes,
Minutes into Hours,
Hours into Days,
Days into Weeks,
Weeks into Months,
And Months into Years.

Faces I once knew,
Are all just a blur.
Memories faded,
And soon disappeared.
Places I had been,
Are all like Distant Dreams.

The space started growing.
The emptiness inside was bleak.
The hole got deeper, darker,
But nothing would fill that gap.

The days were endless summers,
Too hot to even bear.
Nights became winters,
That lasted forever.
When would this ever end?
