Living In Your Letters. Poem by Heather Gibson

Living In Your Letters.

The bright cherrry red color of your car
Reminds me of summers
when we never had to leave each other.
Now, the warm days come to us faster
And that means you will leave just as quickly.
I remember all the days that you were gone before.
Don't you remember your broken heart?
I don't want to go through that again.
Don't you want to comfort my tears when you see them?
Don't you want to keep me from shedding them?
Don't they call you to be with me?
There's no need to test my heart
With all this useless space
Because those roads go on forever.
So i willlive in your letters
And your messages on my voicemail
And I know I will tell you this distance seems terrible.
But i'll hit the pavement it's gatta be better than waiting
And pushing your far away `cause im scared.
Because turning to you is like falling in love when your ten.
