Late In The Evening Poem by Alex Andrine

Late In The Evening

Wake up, if you haven't been awaken,
I'm just a bit abused an tired.
That red-leaved plant will die and be forsaken...

Complete stillness, though there is some noise,
Wrong, I'm still in the hush...
The hot chocolate roped in my cup,
I wonder how it tastes, but still don't drink it up.

Why not to say: I'm so fed up, fed up, fed up...
It's just another evening anyway
Of pretending being sleepless...
Some faint moon's light
Will overcome my weakness.
