Inside Job Poem by Steven Nanni

Inside Job

Something we count on for so long
how could it go so very wrong
everytime i sit down and i think
i start to wonder how far i will sink
my breath i'm holding and i can't get air
i ask God help me please i'm in total despair
so he gives me a breath a little a tease
reminds me of a place that i know i could be
my heart starts to pound to race to boom
the fear i assume is impendingdoom
i get on my knees and beg him please
he tells me my boy your in all your disease
well help me God please show me the way
show me things to do to say
i stop and i listen for something devine
he says the answers you need are deep down inside
so beleive what's inside is a good place to be
look no further my boy God's inside of thee
