Hiding Inside Poem by Amy Lynn

Hiding Inside

Every time you yell at me
With every lie you tell
You break a piece of light away
And darkness starts to swell
Every time you glare my way
With every promise that you break
I start to fall back out of love
And it's more than I can take.
But you can't see the hidden tears
This bleeding in my heart
All you see is what you want
And that's not me so far
I'm sorry I don't play guitar
Or have the coolest hair
That doesn't mean to sneak and flirt
With that girl over there
I don't care if it's innocent
Or all part of some game
My heart is breaking silently
Unleashing hatred I can't tame
I want so bad to tell you
To let you see the pain
But you'll run and hide from everything
And I'll be alone again.
