Grace Is Gone Poem by Jeffrey Weis

Grace Is Gone

My eyes wander These spaces
All I see is dirty Faces
If god is a lie
Then Christ what am I
Just a figment of pigment
Flesh and bone
Harder than stone
This human heart beats acid through my veins
We exist to believe
In things we can't see
We destroy and create
Through process of hate
All our grace is gone.
