Epitome Poem by Elizabeth Williams

Epitome

Justice on the wind
Burdens press through time.
Hope for one more chance
Round the circle bind
Dust and diamonds borrowed
Vanity of line,
Tears of joy and sorrow
Never always mine.
Deviate souls of prey
Shadows laced with grey,
Hear the endless now
Make a wish but how.
Loneliness or peace
Soon to be released.
Crystal colors spinning
Boring faces winning
Holes dug deep in ground
One more dream put down.
Destiny in silence
Glory to the will
Sirens ringing out
Sending in a chill
Crying souls begin
Dying souls depart
The endless stream of life
Together yet apart.
