Dreamin Poem by Brandon Jonathon Vasquez

Dreamin

I was knocked out while clinging to the edge
Thought why even hang on to a loose ledge?
Tear stained eyes made a pledge,
"Make it in this world or try until I'm dead."

Lifted the stress heavy as a boulder,
Don't get the rules of life maybe I will as I get older.
But all the pain in my heart just makes things colder.
Even God came down and said "You have friends don't cha? "
Responded "No" because life caught them all up like poachers.
Asked "What's heaven like? " and was handed a brochure.
Had all the answers like what happens when death hits a different culture.
Why people kill themselves when they lose all composure.

She left me with that; I started digesting all the facts.
Said when the world ends she would be back.
I would understand everything when my inner hero becomes fully intact.
Then I passed out, my world went black…
Woke up, said to myself, "What kind of dream was that? "
