Don’t Think Of Me Poem by jay Arr

Don’t Think Of Me

Rating: 3.0

The chances are my dearest,
One of us will die before the other.
So I urge you,
If I do,
Take another lover.

Don't bother grieving,
Or leaving the bed to get cold.
Find a warm one,
Have some fun,
Fall madly in love, grow old.

All I ask is that,
At the height of ecstasy,
Don't think of me.
Don't put on the light,
Just get the name right.

And if senility comes
And you forget who
Told you to
Take another lover,
Don't bother,

Think of me.
